Product Safety & Use Guidelines

Product Safety & Use Guidelines

Your recovery matters — and so does using our products the right way. Below are important safety guidelines for using Undeez. Please read them before first use and reference them anytime you have questions. Always follow your physician's specific post-operative instructions over any general guidance here.

Before You Start: A Medical Disclaimer

Undeez products are designed to support comfort during recovery from urological procedures. They are not medical devices. We are not your doctor, and nothing on this site is medical advice. If you are recovering from a procedure, your surgeon's instructions take priority over anything we publish.

Cold Therapy Safety

Cold therapy is one of the most effective tools for post-procedure swelling and discomfort — but used incorrectly, it can cause real harm. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Never apply ice or gel packs directly to bare skin. Always use the fabric barrier built into your Undeez product or add an extra layer of cloth.
  • Limit each session to 15-20 minutes max. Wait at least 1-2 hours between sessions.
  • Stop immediately if you experience numbness, prolonged redness, blistering, discoloration, severe pain, or anything that feels wrong.
  • Don't fall asleep with cold therapy in place. Set a timer.
  • Check with your doctor first if you have diabetes, circulation issues, Raynaud's syndrome, cold sensitivity, nerve damage, or reduced sensation.

Signs of Cold-Related Injury

Stop use and contact your healthcare provider if you notice:

  • Skin that turns white, gray, blue, or waxy
  • Blistering or skin damage
  • Numbness that doesn't resolve after warming up
  • Burning sensation that persists

Compression Garment Safety

Our underwear and compression products are designed for post-procedure comfort. To use them safely:

  • Choose the right size. Use our sizing guide. Too tight is not better — it can restrict circulation.
  • Check with your doctor if you've been advised to avoid compression following your specific procedure.
  • Stop use if you notice numbness, tingling, swelling below the garment, skin discoloration, or persistent irritation.

When to Call Your Doctor

Reach out to your physician or seek immediate care if you experience any of the following during recovery:

  • Signs of infection (increasing redness, warmth, swelling, discharge, fever)
  • Severe or worsening pain that isn't controlled by your prescribed pain plan
  • Allergic reactions (rash, hives, difficulty breathing)
  • Any symptom your surgeon told you to watch for
  • Anything that doesn't feel right

When in doubt, call your doctor. That's what they're there for.
